Abstract

NOTICE OF CORRIGENDUM FOR: Al-anni, Maad Kamal; Almuttairi, Rafah M.; Al-Hamadani, Ammar A.; Zidan, Khamis A.; Alsaadi, Husam Ibrahiem Husain; and Al-Sultany, Ghaidaa A (2025) ``Machine Learning Algorithms to Detect Cyber-Attack in the Internet of Things Platform,'' Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics: Vol. 6: Iss. 2, Article 26.
DOI: https://doi.org/10.52866/2788-7421.1268.
Available at: https://ijcsm.researchcommons.org/ijcsm/vol6/iss2/26.
Reason for Corrigendum: In the published version of this article, the authors and publisher wish to correct the following items:

1. DOI correction: The DOI printed in the article PDF as ``10.52866/ijcsm.0000'' is incorrect and should be ``10.52866/2788-7421.1268.''
2. Dataset split correction: The dataset split reported in Table 1 (64,830 training; 16,208 testing) is inconsistent with the dataset counts stated in the dataset description (175,341 training; 82,332 testing). The correct split is \textcolorredAlthough the original dataset contains 175,341 training records and 82,332 testing records, an additional preprocessing step (data filtering and balancing) was applied. After removing redundant and incomplete records, the final dataset used for experiments consisted of 64,830 training samples and 16,208 testing samples, The filtered dataset was divided into 80% training and 20% testing.).
3. Equation correction (Eq. 1): The min–max normalization equation contained an incorrect constant term. The corrected equation is (Z = $\backslash$frac\{x–x_\{min\}\}\{x_\{max\}–x_\{min\}\} (NEWmax-NEWmin)+NEWmin).
4. Pseudocode cleanup: Stray typesetting artifacts ``= 0'' appearing in Algorithm 1 and Algorithm 2 should be removed.
5. Dataset label/footnote formatting: ``CICIoT20231'' should be corrected to ``CICIoT2023'' with a properly formatted footnote marker.
6. Minor typographical corrections: Minor typographical and spacing errors (e.g., ``od'' → ``of'', missing spaces after punctuation, and redundant wording) should be corrected.
These corrections do not affect the scientific conclusions of the paper (except for the clarification of the dataset split, which is reported for accuracy and transparency).
